About me

Cathy Kasozi is a freelance dance artist who holds a degree in dance from the University of Chichester. She has recently been teaching at Oval House Theatre, in addition to assisting on the Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) scheme run by The Place. Her passion lies in working with young people who may not have the facilities to access dance or dance training. With this she aims to teach the joys of dance to young people in her native country. Due to Cathy's passion for teaching, she has teamed up with Iyesha Scarlett to form 'Straight Up Dance', which will be launching later on in the year.
Alongside her teaching, Cathy is a keen choreographer and performer of hip-hop and contemporary dance. Her most recently piece 'Silent Promise' was performed at Oval House Theatre as part of 33% London Festival, held in Janurary. The piece was 1 of 4 to be showcased for 'I am an Artist', produced by Universal Dance Theatre.
